Muslim Brotherhood cancels Friday's nationwide protests
An hour before protests against the anti prophet movie officially start around the country, the Muslim Brotherhood decided today to cancel the nationwide protests they have been calling for days ago.
They announced that they will be present only in Tahrir Square for a ''symbolic protest'' against the movie. According to @IkhwanWeb, a symbolic protest actually means a protest with a low turnout; a protest that only aims to show support for the cause
Even after their announcement, clashes continued in Tahrir Square and areas surrounding US Embassy between protesters and Central Security Forces( CSF). A new wall was reportedly built to separate the US Embassy in Cairo from the Omar Makram Mosque and Tahrir Square, the scene of clashes which began on Wednesday night
