Hundreds of protesters gathered in front of the US embassy to express their anger over what they said was a film produced in the United states that was insulting to Propher Mohamed.

Some protesters were able to remove and burn one of the embassy's flags while chanting: ''Say it, say it, Muhammad is the leader of humanity''. They reportedly placed a black flag bearing the Islamic declaration of faith.

The protesters called for the removal of Sheikh Al Azhar for not reacting to support Prophet Muhammad against the movie. They also called for Egypt to cut relations with the US.
