Pro-Assad Al Mayadeen TV channel tweets location of FSA fighters
The Lebanese Al-Mayadeen TV channel's official Twitter account posted a tweet today that appears to lead government security forces to the location of a Free Syrian Army fighter in Aleppo.
The official Twitter account of the channel deleted the aforementioned tweet and claimed that the account was hacked.
The Beirut-based TV channel is run by Ghassan Bin Jiddo, a Tunisian Journalist who left Al-Jazeera news channel following what he claimed to be "its lack of professionalism and objectivity in covering the Arab Spring," while arguing that “the regime of Bashar al-Assad is being subject to an international conspiracy."
Syrian activists claim that the channel has been cooperating with the regime since its launch after the Syrian uprising.
Almayadeen tweets: "He's on top on the water tank, I want them to tell the pilots about him so he doesn't shoot them, he has anti-aircraft missiles. Aleppo"
Al Mayadeen claims that their Twitter account was hacked, and that it's now been restored.
